Pellet mills manufactured by Hi-Tech are based on their Low Pressure Fixed Flat Die Type Binderless Extrusion technology. These are rotary machines in vertical construction where the fixed flat die provides stability during operation. Vertical construction of pellet press, houses speed reduction unit at bottom of press. Three support vertical shaft is used to transmit power to pelletising rollers and depending upon the size of the unit the number of rollers are decided. Unique feature of pellet mills are that they are not size specific and any pellet mill can give pellets of different sizes and dies of different thickness can be accommodated in same frame with no effect on stability.
Pellet press is designed to produce fuel pellet from 8-25 mm dia by extrusion. Conditioned ground material is fed to pellet press by gravity feed. Roller run on a slow speed and press the material in die holes and extrudes the material. Length of pellet can be adjusted by knife provided below the die. Pellets so formed are cooled on cooling conveyor and send for storage. Most of the biodegradable materials like Ground Nut Shell, Wood Waste, Bagasse, Straw, Grass etc can be pelletised.
We have established pelleting plant to prove commercial viability of pelleting of different material. For last seven years we are running R&D center for pelletizing different biomass such as agricultural waste, horticulture residues and MSW (Municipal Solid Waste). We have developed pilot size pellet press of 0.5 and 0.1 ton capacity for different research laboratories. Our commercial size pellet plant can process from 20 ton to 100 ton per day.
All over the world, 1000’s of pellet plants are installed and working, they are processing dense granular material for animal feedstock purpose and other process industry. We have been successfully able to pelletize lower density fibrous material such as RDF, biomass, agro waste into fuel pellets by utilizing state of the art engineering and meticulous execution.
