Hammer Mill is used for grinding of biomass waste & residues such as rice husk, groundnut shell, wood chips, cotton shell/stalks, mustard husk/stalk, sugar cane trash & baggasse etc before the raw material can be densified.

The grinder is of robust steel construction, reinforced at critical areas. Large diameter balanced rotor and shaft made from high tensile steel which are structurally welded, guarantees continuous production and performance. Balanced Hammer system ensures silent running and absorbs intermittent loads and shocks mounted on Anti Vibration Mounting Pads for vibration isolation with ground.

Oversized shaft bearing are dust protected and placed away from the grinding chamber for long operating life and low down time. Power is provided by means of pulleys through V-Belts from main motor.

Material is fed through feeding conveyor into wide in-feed opening of Hammer Mill. Swinging hammers takes the material into grinding chamber to crush the material on to the stationary liners before driving them through a screen at the bottom. Size of screen and hammers determine the size of crushed particles. Material at bottom is sucked by pneumatic system and conveyed to Cyclone. Material is then ready for densification by briquetting or palletizing.
