Briquette Press is used for binder less production of high density solid fuel briquettes i.e. “biocoal“ from all types of granulated degradable biomass, residues & wastes such as groundnut shell, wood waste, baggasse (sugar cane stalk), cotton shell/stalk, mustard husk/straw, coffee husk pine needle, saw dust etc.

The machine is a reliable, heavy duty, ram type, presses designed for continuous operation, equipped with a sturdy crank gear, cross head and two flywheels. One of the flywheels acts as a pulley and is driven by the main motor through flat belt. Forced lubrication is provided by an oil-circulating system with dual filtration and forced cooling.

Material is continuously fed through a hopper by means of a vertical feeder with its own gear box and a 2-speed motor. Regulated feed to the press is provided by independently driven screw through flexible pulley on motor.

Dry ground or granulated material is fed to the top of the vertical feeder by screw conveyor. The vertical screw pre-compresses and forces the material downwards into pre-compression chamber. Here the material is forced by the ram through a die system into briquettes to the cooling line. The total operation is continuous and controlled from the main electrical panel.

Since 1985, we have done extensive research into briquetting technology for biomass. As a result, we have been able to successfully briquette more than 20 different biomass materials and have supplied more than 300 briquette presses.
